About:

Zap is our goofy, sassy and spunky girl. She is fearless and everyone and everything is her friend. Zap thinks every day is the best day ever and must be a party thrown just for her. She loves to be the center of attention. She's a stunner and she knows it. Zap also is very attached to her people and always has to be touching you or one of her sisters. Zap definitely has a sense of humor and is a goofball; she knows just which buttons to push to make you laugh and let her get away with some mischief. She also has a lot of thoughts and opinions and likes to share them out loud; she is a talker. Zap likes to make noises, sometimes, bark, sometimes howl-bark, sometimes whine to let you know she's excited, happy, feeling goofy, wants to play, has a toy in her mouth (yes she can bark and hold a toy at the same time; it is quite impressive), anxious, frustrated, anticipating what's going to happen, or sometimes just because. Based on her dam and some of her siblings, I do think there is a genetic component to the talkativeness, so that will be something to take into consideration if you want a dog that is generally quiet. Zap is also fearless. She is a dog who will try new things, which definitely makes her fun for sports and trying out new activities. She is also extremely intelligent, which has its pros and cons. She LOVES to train and if I grab a clicker, some of that excited whining and maybe some jumping and joyous barking may ensue until that training session finally starts. Zap does have a nice "off switch" at home and can relax, especially if she has someone to cuddle, but she is also ready to work, play or train when you are. She does great in a crate and travels very well. She has medium toy drive, but we don't use a lot of toys with her in her training sessions. She has high food drive and hasn't met a morsel of anything edible she doesn't like. She doesn't have any food sensitivities or known allergies. Zap definitely keeps us on our toes, but out of all the dogs, she makes us laugh the most and she frequently is in the running for favorite dog in the household. We couldn't imagine our house without this big goofball and the more she matures, she just gets better and better. Her future is very bright and we love all the adventures this girl is taking us on!
