Welcome to Lightning Round Aussies! We are located in Northwest Arkansas and we raise, train, compete with and breed Australian Shepherds. Our Australian Shepherds are integral members of our family and they each bring their own personality and piece to our family to make it whole. They are the "do everything" dogs; if we want to train for something, they are in. If we want to cuddle on the couch and watch TV, they are in. If we want to go for a weekend-long hike, they are in. If we want to go toss a frisbee out back, they are double in! Anyone that meets one of our dogs can't help but fall in love with them. They have brains, personality, lovability, and stunning good looks! They really are the whole package.
Currently, we only have 3 Aussies, only 2 that will be producing litters, and they are all females. Our oldest Aussie, Tesla, was spayed at a year old before we decided we would like to produce dogs from our own lines for our next dogs. However, Tesla is absolutely integral to our family and she is constantly with me and her sisters, especially at competitions, so she is included in our "Our Girls" section even though she will not be able to be used for breeding.
About Our Dogs
Our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the United Kennel Club (UKC). Before any breeding takes place, they are genetically tested through Paw Print Genetics and we have their results listed under their profiles, but you can also look up their results at as well. We also get them certified with the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals (OFA) after they have turned two years old to have their hips and elbows checked as well as their eye certifications (CAER). In order to be used for breeding, we require their hip rating through OFA to come back as "good" or "excellent" and we expect that from the sire as well. For elbow rating through OFA, we expect that to come back as "normal" in order to be bred and we expect the same from the sire as well. We list their OFA results under their profiles when they come in and when they are old enough to have them done.
We think it is important to keep our dogs engaged and active. We also love finding new things to learn with them. We have worked to earn AKC Canine Good Citizen titles, AKC trick dog titles, do coursing in AKC, compete in Rally in AKC & UKC, compete in conformation in AKC, dock dive, earn titles in dog parkour, AKC obedience, and we are getting started in disc.
